Transitioning to LexisNexis Risk XML from E.D.I.T.S.

For many years now, data giant LexisNexis has provided various consumer information products, including: C.L.U.E. Auto, C.L.U.E. Property, and NCF. These were originally offered as a mainframe solution in the E.D.I.T.S. format: a line-based, fixed-field, data format. But now LexisNexis seems to be modernizing…

As technology has progressed over the years data vendors have transitioned from system-to-system communication to HTTP instead. Likewise, vendors have superseded fixed-field data formats with formats such as XML and JSON.

In following this trend, LexisNexis has evolved those E.D.I.T.S. products to use XML over HTTP with SOAP. As a result they have created the Risk XML framework and have indicated they plan to move away from the old E.D.I.T.S reports.

Now is the time for you to evolve along with them!

Systems Consulting Services has begun implementing Risk XML. If you’ve used jBIAS to access E.D.I.T.S. data then you can seamlessly transition to these new reports. This is just one of the many benefits of using jBIAS!
